One of the universal problems with caravans is their travel height and subsequent storage height. The development of the "pop top" caravan solved this issue but introduced the added problems of poor insulation and space utiliztion with this limited design. The Kimberley Karavan is an off road caravan that unfolds automatically with electric finger touch controls. It has a builtin "slide out" with a Super Queen Size Bed that takes a simple hand operation to engage. The benefit of this is a lower travel height similar to your 4WD. Combined with the feature of being the same width as a 4WD it can go where ever your vehicle can travel.

What are the traps and tricks approaching mud with confidence with an off-road caravan in tow? When looking at the road ahead which appears to be moguls of mud in a sloppy sea of brown water, your first challenge is to pick a line of travel. Every situation needs to be judged on the ground but without any obvious indications of conditions underfoot, the safest bet is to take the line down the centre of the road. This assumes there are side markers or culvert markers and you can see where the edges are!

Tyre pressure monitoring using a new digital display TPMS lets the use optimize tyre pressures based on road conditions and speed. Optimizing this pressure will reduce the probability of damaging tyres & tyre wear.

This TPMS system will manage up to 12 tyres and is available for sale at $1290 or will be provided at no charge when a Kimberley is purchased new. It requires an online voucher from Kimberley available from February 10th 2013 for a limited time.

Unfortunately, due to unforseen circumstances, the Kimberley Tyre Pressure & Temperature Monitoring System will not be supplied with trailers at time of delivery if they are built before June 2013. We have taken advantage of new technology available and this has caused a supply delay. You will still receive the System, but Camper trailers and Caravans will be shipped without the system and installation will be at owner's expense (before June 2013).
We design our own steel hubs right from the block of steel for the disc brakes and matching hubs! We have found that for "off road camper trailers" and "off road caravans" a much thicker disc is required for cooling and to avoid the build up of gibbers and debris that always occurs off road. Matching hubs to your tow vehicle gives you the peace of mind that a double puncture can be easliy be managed using the "off road camper trailer" or "off road caravan" spare wheel.
